Super Mario Maker Cheats For Wii U

1. CRT TV Mode for all styles

   While the game is loading a level, hold down on the D-Pad and press A and B at the same time(If using the Wii Remote, the code is Down on D-Pad plus 1 and 2 simultaneously). If done correctly, the game will look as if played on a CRT TV screen. To disable it, do the same thing on the level loading screen.

2. Mario Paint Fly squating game.

   When you remove a block or shake a muncher enemy and three little mosquito fly out, quickly tap on them to kill them. When you did it correct the Mario Paint Fly squatting game will launch. It won't happen with every block you move so it needs some trial and error. Completing this minigame unlocks the Builder Mario costume.

3. Unlocking Expert Mode in 100 Mario Challenge

   To unlock expert mode in 100 Mario Challenge, simply beat Normal mode.

4. Unlock Board Pieces Quickly

   There is a fairly quick way to bypass the 9-day waiting period to unlock everything. Start by using the pieces you have. Make sure to select each piece at least once. When a notification a for more pieces arrives, select an easily replicated item, such as the coin, and fill the board with them. If done right, the new pieces will arrive after a minute or two. Repeat until done. Takes about an hour.

5. Title Screen Easter Egg

   In the interactive title screen (the one where Mario stands in some level you can play if you want) you can touch the letters of the Super Mario Maker caption on the gamepad touchscreen. Every letter does do something different like spawning enemies or coins or taking off like a rocket after someone gives a countdown.

6. Costume changing text

   If you clear the final level in 10 Mario Challenge or 100 Mario Challenge, you'll meet up with Toad or the Princess. If you are dressed in certain costumes, you'll get individualized responses. Toad stresses out if you rescue him as Bowser, but Peach is merely bemused. Wear the Toad costume while rescuing Toad and you'll be greeted as "Captain."

7. Alternate Stage End Music in Super Mario World

   Using the Bowser/Mushroom SFX tool, you can change a stage's background music. If you beat a stage in the Super Mario World theme while the Bonus Stage ("Mushroom") alternate background music is playing, you'll get the "Bonus Stage Clear" music instead of the usual theme.

8. Fighter Fly Costume

   Make sure you've updated Super Mario Maker, then play Hard Mode of Gnat Attack. Upon completing all three levels you'll unlock the Fighter Fly Mystery Mushroom costume.

9. Change On Screen Hand

   In edit mode, click either stick. A box will appear in the middle of the screen. Click the left stick for a right hand and vice versa. Repeated clicks will cycle through available hands.

10. Meet the doorman

    When you place a door in edit mode and tap on it with the stylus you'll hear some on knock back a number of times. Tap back matching the number of knocks and after 4-5 rounds a character will open the door

11. Gnat Attack Hard Mode

    As of the 1.2 update, if you shake a muncher enough times, and after you keep doing it after the flies show up, Yaniga (the giant fly) will appear. Tap him to play a harder version of Gnat Attack. Beating this mode will unlock the Fighter Fly costume for the Mystery Mushroom.

12. Unlocking Super Expert Mode in 100 Mario Challenge

    As of Version 1.40, Super Expert mode in 100 Mario Challenge can be unlocked by beating Expert mode.

13. Unlock Amiibo Costumes

    If you don't have a character's Amiibo but want to unlock that character's costume, don't worry, you don't have to buy the Amiibo. Just play the 100 Mario Challenge to unlock them. Every time you complete the 100 Mario Challenge, you are awarded a random Amiibo costume; However, you can't spam Easy and Normal difficulties, as you can only play easy difficulty 20 times and normal difficulty 45 times before being forced to play Expert and Super Expert to unlock the remaining costumes.

14. Medals

    Stars you receive from stages that you submit online accumulate. Once you have gathered enough, you will receive a medal in your "Play Info" and you will be granted the ability to submit more stages online. Stars do not disappear from your profile if you delete a stage that has received one or more previously. Initially, before any medals are awarded, you are allowed to upload 10 stages.

15. Nintendo World Championships 2015 Levels and Weird Mushroom

    To unlock the four Nintendo World Championships levels, complete the 10 Mario Challenge mode enough times until you've unlocked all the sample courses. Complete all four to unlock the Weird Mushroom item, which can be used in Course Maker by grabbing and shaking a Super Mushroom. It can only be used in Super Mario Bros. levels.

Super Mario Maker Cheats For 3DS

1. Door Knocking

   When making courses, after placing a set of standard Warp Doors (but not P-Warp Doors or Key Doors), you can tap on either door to generate a knocking noise. If you tap the door enough, the door will open for a couple of seconds revealing Weird Mario before closing. This can be done as many times as you wish, and Weird Mario has different poses depending on the Game Style selected. As an example, he may be dressed as Racoon Mario in SMB3, Cape Mario in SMW, or Acorn Mario in NSMBU.

2. Unlock Editing an Existing Course

   Obtain both Goomba and Bowser medals for a course you want to use.

3. Unlock New Course Elements

   Not all course elements are available when you first start the game. You will need to clear each world in the Super Mario Challenge in order to unlock new ones. Each world cleared will add between 2-3 new items you can add to your custom levels. The requirements are listed below:

4. Edamame Profile Icon

   If you are able to complete the Super Mario Challenge without using an assist item, you'll be rewarded with a "piece of edamame". It turns out this is a special icon that appears in your profile in Course World. You can find it on the upper right of the profile screen.

5. Access World 19

   Once you officially clear all 18 worlds in the Super Mario Challenge campaign, you will be told that there are expert levels waiting for you if you acquire 40 or more medals. Once you reach 40 medals, W19-1 will be unlocked in Coursebot. World 19 consists of 12 levels, and each new level unlocks when the previous one is completed.
